PLT Training Days on website

Protected Learning Time (PLT) is an opportunity for GP practices to address staff learning and professional development needs.  The content of the PLT sessions is focused around the local priorities and needs of our patients.

If you’re worried about an urgent medical concern, you can call 111 to speak to a fully trained adviser.  Depending on the situation, the NHS 111 team can connect you to a nurse, emergency dentist or a GP, and can arrange face-to-face appointments if they think you need one.  NHS 111 advisers can also assess if you need an ambulance and send one immediately if necessary.

Accident and Emergency attendance is advised if you have a genuine life threatening emergency

The surgery will be closed from 14:00 to 18:00 on the following days:

05/02/2020

16/07/2020

30/07/2020

24/09/2020

14/10/2020

Appointments

When you ring to book an appointment you will be asked certain questions by our trained receptionists.

It is not a case of our receptionists being nosey , they have been asked by our doctors to give a brief description of your problem so that we can signpost  you to the appropriate nurse or health professional rather than a doctor where appropriate.

Any information given by you is strictly confidential , the practice would take any breach of confidentiality very seriously and deal with it accordingly.

pen_on_diaryIn most instances you will be able to see a doctor within 24hours, although this may not be the doctor of your choice. If you wish to see a particular doctor, you may have to wait longer for an appointment. We operate a mixture of pre-bookable appointments and same day appointments. If you want to see the doctor on the same day, please telephone the surgery at 08:00 for a morning appointment and at 15:00 for an afternoon appointment.

if you are unable to keep your appointment please let us know as soon as possible so that we can accommodate another patient.

If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we will request that you rebook so that other patients are not inconvenienced.
